With “Terzo Tempo” the focus is on children and young people aged 5 to 14 and on building a local network able to promote well-being through education, play, sport and socialising.

The project, which is active in the Ragusa area, starts from the idea that tackling educational poverty does not mean simply providing services, but building stable relationships between all those who can contribute to the growth of younger people.

Schools, families, institutions, associations, social cooperatives, voluntary organisations, parishes, sports clubs and other local players are all asked to share tools, practices and goals.

One central aspect is precisely the role given to children and families: not merely recipients of services, but protagonists and active participants in the initiatives.

The project involved around 1,000 children and young people between the ages of 5 and 14, with particular attention to situations of socio-economic and cultural vulnerability.
